From the year of 1996 to 1999 what most referred to as "Third Wave" Ska ruled the airwaves, T.V. commercials and shows as well as venues. Those of us who new what true Ska was took great offense to the so-called "Punk Ska" scene and with great force we told the masses that third wave was not ska at all bu t rather "Jamaican Ska" was the only real Ska. The Israelites were one of those bands that played strictly Jamaican Ska and Reggae.
