Joni Maxx as Princess Genevieve
Joni Maxx has distinguished herself as one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most in-demand jazz and R&B vocalists for the past 25 years, performing in top-tier venues such as the Plush Room, the Fillmore, the Great American Music Hall, the Mark Hopkins, the Claremont Hotel, Rasselas, the Tonga Room, the Fairmont Hotel and Hornblower Dining Yachts. She has appeared with Bobby McFerrin, Mary Wilson, Maria Muldaur, Holly Near, Jon Hendricks, Tom Scott, Linda Tillery, and many others.
Valentina as Princess Antonina
Valentina has the rare distinction of being a well-established pop/rock/jazz vocalist and composer, as well as an accomplished classical singer. Over her 15 year career, Valentina’s performance highlights include appearing on MTV, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Fillmore Auditorium, and at The Palace of Fine Arts for Hillary Clinton, with stars as diverse as George Benson and Dana Carvey to Helen Hunt, John Cale and Todd Rundgren. As a mezzo soprano, Valentina has debuted with San Francisco Opera, New York City Opera, San Francisco Symphony, Opera Theatre St. Louis and Opera San Jose, to name a few. Valentina was also a founding member of the critically acclaimed a capella group Screaming Divas.
Velia as Princess Victoria
Velia has 15 years experience as a professional pop/dance vocalist and 10 years experience as a professional songwriter. In her hometown of Sydney, Australia, she got her start by forming cover band 2/4 Groove, which went on to open for Sony recording artist, Margaret Urlich. After relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1995, Velia penned her first album, and the single “Joining Up” found an audience on college radio stations from Russia to Indianapolis. As a songwriter, Velia has been commissioned to write for corporate video and computer games by clients including Johnson & Johnson, Cadence and Blue Water Software.
Doug Boyd as Henry Barnes (Narrator)
Doug Boyd is a veteran studio singer, an experienced print and on-camera personality, and one of the foremost voice-over talents in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is a long-time member of the esteemed vocal group, Pacific Mozart Ensemble, and over his 25 year career, Doug has appeared in over 200 national and local T.V. and radio commercials as on-camera principal, or voice-over talent. Doug’s corporate on-camera clients include: Visa, Long’s Drugs and AT&T; his commercial voice-over clients include Quickbooks, Cisco and Charles Schwab; and his narration clients include Compaq, Microsoft and Spy Kids (feature film).
Danica Sena, Choreographer
Danica Sena is an internationally renowned choreographer/performer whose choreographies have been performed throughout the U.S., Spain, Mexico, Japan and the Czech Republic. Along with her complete and eclectic dance training, Danica is a consummate singer, musician and actor, and she has shared the stage with Noche Flamenca and renowned director John Mauceri at the Hollywood Bowl, Rafael Aguilar and Lydia Cabello/Emilio Florido, to name a few. In the San Francisco Bay Area, Danica has collaborated with organizations including Cirque du Soleil, HP Pavillion/Indus Industries and SF State Dance.
Norberto Martinez, Choreographer
Norberto Martinez is a professional choreographer and dancer who has performed with respected dance organizations in Mexico, South America, Europe and the U.S. In his hometown of Mérida,Yucatán México, Norberto worked with Jorge Faz Dance Company and Ballet folklórico de la Universidad de Yucatán for more than 15 years before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, where he formed his own dance company, Folklorico Atlatonin, and choreographed for companies including Ensambles Ballet Folklorico de SF and Presidio Dance Theater. Norberto has performed at prestigious venues such as the Palace of Fine Arts, Herbst Theater and Cowell Theater in productions of Carmen, La Traviata and The Nutcracker.
Simon Amarasingham, Musical Director
Simon Amarasingham is a professional composer, sound designer, keyboardist and producer. Originally from New Zealand, Simon moved to Australia in the 80s, where he performed in rock bands and composed music for everything from film, to cellular phones, to console games. During the dotcom boom, Simon immigrated to the San Francisco Bay Area where he went on to form the award-winning audio production company, dSonic. Simon’s corporate clients include Motorola, Microsoft Games Studio, EA, Qualcomm, Activision, Disney Online, 2K and Acclaim.
