EARTHEN HEART REVIEW
Blaze Media - Friday April 11th 2003
We are very lucky to have a talent we can truly call Adelaide''s own. Heather Frahn is that talent. Her new album Earthen Heart is an extraordinary piece of work, featuring 13 tracks all written by Frahn herself. Frahn''s vocal range is amazing and particularly shines in Brand New Day. This track is a monster, the energy, the passion, and the fantastic musical composition is typical of what you can expect from Frahn, and if you''ve ever seen her live then you''ll know exactly what I mean. Earthen Heart is an aural delight - the line up of musicians and the scope of the instruments used are incredible. Heather plays five of these herself: acoustic guitar, double bass, djembe, durrabuka and percussion. The album has a taste of everything from funk, jazz, symphony, classical, rock and acoustic just to name a few genres. If you get the chance to see Frahn live… go. She works incredibly hard and gives a 100% performance, capturing the audience in the palm of her hand. Check out her website for future gigs https://www.tradebit.com
