Holly Tucker CD Press Release -- Lorena, Texas -- August 27, 2007
Fourteen year old Holly Tucker, of Lorena, Texas, has just completed the recording of her first full-length country music CD, at the local studio of artist/producer, singer/ songwriter, master teacher, Dick Gimble, son of western swing fiddle great, Johnny Gimble. The CD is set for “soft” release August 28th, in Waco. Art design and music duplication , in Austin, has just been completed. Copies will be available for sale, immediately, at all events where Holly is scheduled to perform, and very shortly, through her website, http//:https://www.tradebit.comlytucker,com. Friends and fans are also invited to visit

find out where to go to hear Holly perform live.
The CD is a collection of 12 songs in the “young country” style of Carrie Underwood, Kelley Pickler, and, one of Holly’s favorite artists, Jamie O’Neal. It features 7 original songs by Waco country singer/songwriter, Chris Wommack, who is no stranger to the music scene. For years, he has cast his music pearls all over the world, traveling as a full-time music evangelist and worship leader, in the Contemporary Christian music
field. More recently, he has used his spare time from his position as Associate Pastor, for Music Ministry, at First Baptist Church of Woodway, to compose positive country songs. His collaboration with Holly began when he asked her to “demo” a few of his songs, using his home, digital recording machine, to be able to send them off to some publishing companies. As the first primitive attempts were in progress, something magical happened where a singer and a song unite, for the perfect balance, and a partnership was born, Listeners will be surprised that the message of the title cut, “It’s About Time”, is completely different from what is expected. The opening Wommack song, “She’s Touched In The Heart”, a fun, upbeat summer love song, with a magical hook, and “Tellin’ You”, another driving musical statement on the love theme, were written with Holly in mind. “I Can’t Concentrate”, a musical rollercoaster that travels in and out of several keys, will resonate with every teenage girl, who ever had a crush on “that special guy”. The other Wommack contributions include “Feather Pillow”, a tender ballad of love in the style of Martina McBride, “That First Second Glance”, one of the songs destined to be a “hit”, and finally, a duet with Dad, Johnny, “Even Higher”, a song about reaching for your wildest dreams. For those who crave a little of the “familiar” Holly has re-made some of her favorites, such as the Kim Richey tune “Every River”, Linda Ronstadt’s “When Will I Be Loved?”, Billy Gilman’s “Spend Another Night”, the rousing Reba McIntyre song “Why Haven’t I Heard From You?”, and finally, a beautiful Christian song about God’s presence, called “There You Are”.
Holly is a very down-to-earth, teenage girl who loves to hear and sing great music, spend time with family and friends, read great books, travel to new places, play with her dog, Rascal, eat out, at upscale restaurants, try out the latest fashions, and watch movies. She is starting her Freshman year, at Lorena High School, where she will march and play saxophone in the band, attend advanced classes, and join the National Honor Society.
She will continue to study piano with Mary Bashara, local instructor, saxophone in band, and privately, with Greg Bashara, local jazz musician, and instructor, and guitar, at home, with Dad and Mom, Johnny and Cheryl Tucker. Holly is also a member of a family trio, The Tuckers, who sing positive country, and Christian music, locally, and around the state. She has been singing with her parents, in trio harmony, since the age of 2.
Holly has been honored to sing the National Anthem, for the opening home game, of the eventual 2005, National Champion, Baylor Lady Bears basketball team, and numerous other Baylor athletic events, and most recently, sang the Anthem at the fireworks display of the annual “Fourth-On-The-Brazos” independence celebration, with over 20,000 in attendance. Waco Mayor, Virginia DuPuy, who led the Pledge of Allegiance that night, invited Holly to sing the Anthem at the June, 2007, Waco City Council Meeting. Holly is very patriotic, and grateful for the sacrifice of our men and women who are serving, in uniform, to protect our freedom, and she sings the Star Spangled Banner with all the reverence it deserves.
Holly has placed in the top three contestants, for the past two years, during the Heart Of Texas Fair and Rodeo Karaoke competitions, in October. She is the reigning champion of the Lorena Leopard Star Search. In June, Holly was honored to be selected as the “Waco Idol”, in a competition sponsored by Waco radio station, KLRK, 92.9 FM. She is currently being seen online in the Waco Tribune Herald’s “Waco’s Got Talent” competition, where readers are invited to vote, online, for their favorite performers. Holly performs regularly on The Johnnie High Country Music Revue, in Arlington, Texas, Dennis Ivey’s Texas Opry, in Crockett, Texas, Charles Thornal’s Gospel Music Celebration, in, and around Waco, Texas, The Texas Rose Opry, in Temple, Texas, The Wylie Opry, in Wylie, Texas, The Rodeo City Music Hall Opry, in Mesquite, Texas, and she is scheduled as the featured singer for the opening ceremonies of the American Cancer Society’s 2007 Race For The Cure, in October.
Holly Tucker has a bright future ahead, as she takes her music to the friends and fans who
appreciate her talents, and her wholesome approach to the positive country music she offers.
