Details:
Her sound is where country meets rock. Often described as Roseanne Cash meets Melissa Etheridge. This style has won her the appeal of fans across the board. But J.D. Danner is not just another girl with a guitar… She is an artist with a mission to change the world through the power of music. In effort to do this, J.D. has partnered with the American Cancer Society, Women In Distress and Operation Homefront and has been extensively touring and performing at military bases in the U.S. and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in support of our troops.

After college and a brief gig in the corporate world, J.D. decided pantyhose and deadlines was not the life for her. So she burned her pantyhose, picked up her guitar and has been performing professionally ever since.

1999 - J.D. independently released her debut CD Stimulating Sacrifice and won critical acclaim from the local press along with a large new fan base playing in festivals and venues throughout Florida.

2001 - After touring the southeast and New York City, J.D.’s next project would be a blues root gospel CD
Joyful Noise. She spent most of 2001 performing in churches and coffeehouses. During this tour she was privileged to share the stage with legendary rock idol, Dion at a Youth Praise and Worship music series.

2003 - J.D. began working with Nashville producer/songwriter Keith Ridenour on her second original album Maybe It’s Just Me. The CD takes the listener on a musical journey from the acoustic rock sound of "My Last Reason" to the upbeat edgy rock sound of "Take The Time To Dance" to the gospel, blues rock groove on "No Ordinary Hero".

2005 -In keeping her commitment to community, the first single off the CD, titled, "Shelter From The Shame", lead to a project with Women In Distress, which was an awareness and fundraising project including a music video and concerts to help stop violence against women and girls.

J.D. penned the song, "A Brand New Angel" as a tribute to a friend who had lost her battle with breast cancer. She presented the idea of a CD fundraising project the American Cancer Society and was invited to perform at their Relay For Life events throughout Florida. The CD single proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

2007- J.D. made her debut appearance at the legendary Blue Bird Café in Nashville, TN. She was also honored with an “outstanding contribution” award at Fort Hood in Kileen, TX for performing and speaking at the base for “Stand Down Day”. An event focusing on awareness and prevention of domestic violence in military families.

2008 - J.D. is back in Nashville working with Keith Ridenour who has co-wrote and produced her latest release titled, “Hard Road To Heaven”. The songs from this CD have already caught the attention of independent filmmaker Jeffrey Poitier, nephew of actor Sydney Poitier. Mr. Poitier has featured J.D. and her music in his latest film titled, “VOICES”.

J.D. performs throughout Florida at clubs, casinos and festivals and also is continuing her military base touring to entertain the troops and their families. In October 2008 her song titled, ”Thanks To The Brave” was adopted by the television station at Fort Hood to be used in a variety of programs replacing Toby Keith’s “American Soldier”.

So with a new CD release and a new band in place, J.D. is now booking the 2009 Spring/Summer tour…
