Tommy Thompson died unexpectedly January 30, 2008, leaving behind a 30-year legacy of rock and roll songwriting and performance. This collection of songs reflects the period between 1984 and 1990, when Tommy fronted The Kinetics, the greatest band ever to emerge from South Bend, IN. Many of these demos received positive responses from Warner Brothers, Columbia, and Virgin Records, but the band never got the big break they needed. Tommy went on to front another great local band, The Benders, and continued to write and perform until he died. He recorded dozens of songs, and did self-release two EPs in the 1980s, but this is the first official release for most of these tracks. More of Tommy''s material with The Benders will be released in the future, but enjoy today these great 60s-style gems, crafted in the rock and roll storyteller tradition of Berry, Fogerty and Springsteen.
