Desiring to make a compilation merging two different styles, Jared Lonergan teamed up with Bethany Cook in 2001 to make their very first CD. Entitled "Wondermint: Inspired by, but not dedicated to...", one guy brought a minutia of musical experience to a girl receiving a Masters Degree in Music Therapy, and the two found a complimentary genre justly described as diverse. Take a pint of jazzy, classical folk, mix in a shot of mellow passionate rock, squirt in a little old school country and you''ve got one of the best debut albums to meet the public since Jack met the Daniels.
Bethany Cook has been writing songs since the age of five. She now works as a Music Therapist helping a range of people from the criminally insane to the developmentally challenged. Characterized by her slightly higher than vibrant energy, she is second to none in wit, humor and verbal audacity.
Jared Lonergan started writing songs last April. In the still of the purple morning sky, he works in front of an oven baking muffins and cookies for his own wholesale bakery. In response to why he didn''t start making music at an earlier age, he states with confidence, "I don''t really know."
And to say the least, they both had something boiling within that led to this CD. In the event of a fire, signature music and lyrics are at Bethany''s Track 7, "Begin w/ me" and Jared''s Track 8, "Soothe into twine." In the event of the best day you''ve ever had, it will start at Track 1 with Endless Possibilities.
