Reviews for Sacred Landscapes by Sue Aston
"This is my second Sue Aston album. Another must have in my opinion. Superb playing, mixing and compsoing, you can''t go wrong in buying this for your collection. The music flows in a mystical way and is great to listen to after a stressful day. Sue transports me away from the daily grind into a mystical world with wonderful melodies reflecting some of my favorite places in Cornwall. I can''t compare Sue''s music to anyone elses as it is very passonite and unique, every track is strong and well crafted in every respect. I look forward to the next release". R Pearn

"''Madron'' from Sacred Landscapes by Sue Aston comprises a cadenza which wouldn''t be out of place in a Romantic violin concerto. Sue''s fine violin technique; elegant, sweet-toned and assured, her playing makes a virtue out of competence without descending to showiness". Rock n Reel

"Sue Aston''s is modern Cornish music, taking and interpreting themes and harmonies letting them be heard again. It is as relevant as Malcolm Arnold''s Padstow Lifeboat and Cornish Dances and Bax''s Tintagel - perhaps more so". John Colby

"As I listened to Sue Aston''s CD Sacred Landscapes, I was drawn back in time to ancient Celtic rituals and mysterious, hallowed places of old England. Like pages in a dusty old manuscript each track opened a new musical chapter of magical dimensions". Wind & Wire

"Recording my music takes me on a journey that goes far beyond my passion for the Celtic Landscape that inspires it. As a composer I absorb a great deal of inspiration from the natural landscape, particularly the isolated areas of Cornwall which are rich in legend and folklore".
