Rob Halligan combines edgy acoustic rock with soulful ballads that will both challenge you and bring you hope with songs born from first hand experience of drug and AIDS victims as well as being directly effected by the terrorist events of September 11th 2001 in which his father was killed.
Robs musical influences are as diverse as John Mayer, Jeff Buckley, Billy Bragg and the Clash and he has gigged across the UK in venues from local cafes, rock bars and folk clubs to festivals and venues with crowds up to 3000 people. Venues that Rob's played include The Midlands Arts Centre, The Norwich Arts Centre, The Milton Keynes Sanctuary, The Brighton Dome, Manchester Apollo, Aston University, Northumberland University, The Edinburgh Lot and yes, the rumour is true, even Wembley (that is a long story). Festivals include the Coventry Godiva Festival, The H3 Festival, Greenbelt festival, the B91 Festival and Birmingham Beer Fest(!). In 2005 he was winner of the Birmingham Unsigned Awards.
He has also written articles for the Independent newspaper and the Christian Herald and appeared on local and national television and radio shows including BBC Radio 2, BBC WM, BBC C&W, Splash FM, CrossRhythms City radio, UCB Europe radio and UCB Inspiration radio, The Dream on God TV, September Morning (ITV Documetry), West Midlands Today (Central TV)

Originaly from Brighton on the South Coast of England, Rob moved up to the midlands when he was 16.
He played in school bands and recorded a couple of demos before getting into various scrapes with the police and then getting his life sorted after meeting a bunch of Christians. He went on to play in conferences and in 2001 for Goldsmiths who attacked the local gigging scene with their own brand of indie-rock. In 2002 he went soloand after a successfull Album, a charting independently released single (which also raised over 3000 for charity) and a gruelling two years of constant touring that culminated in Ireland in December 2005, Rob Halligan has built up a fanbase and reputaion as an "... archetypal troubadour whos stand-up acoustic is full of subtle power" (Oxford Nightshift Magazine)
