Maia has been singing since she was a child. Inspired by Nature for as long as she can remember, she has drawn on Earth images and impressions to form the music she has now recorded. Most of the songs on her CD were composed in the mountains of northern New Mexico where she lived for eight years with her son Sam, now eleven years old. So many years of longing to be a mother, coupled with actually becoming one, gave her the material and melodies you hear now! Something about the process connected her with Mother Earth....Her struggles, feelings and emotions. Maia sought out those experiences and learned how to listen deeply to those feelings by going into the mountains with nothing to do but to listen....now, she hopes that you will allow yourself to do the same with this music, a gift from the Earth, to just listen and let yourself be blessed!
