Mike grew up in Texas in the sixties and was able to witness many of the great Blues Artist in their prime such Freddy King, Lightin'' Hopkins, Mance Lipscom and Johnny Winter. Not to mention all the touring artist that came through those little Texas clubs in those days. All these people influenced his playing. Later, Texans such as Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimmy Vaughn, Anson Funderburg, Billy Gibbons and others had a great effect on him. Many of these people he met on a personal basis. Despite these influences Mike has acquired his own style and take on the Blues and Rock and Roll. After playing with various bar bands in his younger days, He laid down the guitar for a while but has since begun a love affair with recording. One man, a guitar, a little Mojo!
