The Craig Smith Band is a studio band satisfied simply with writing and recording songs that relect many song styles and flowing melodies. Enhanced effects and a variety of new instruments shape the overall quality and sound on this work of art.
The "bands" second self-release of 2003 is here. Ten new original songs grace the new album. "Smooth and tight" is what the fans are saying about this groove.
The addition of the lap steel guitar enables the band to expose different musical styles behind a tight rhythm section. Creating and producing original "indie" music is my goal.
Craig plays: acoustic and electric guitars, lap steel guitar, piano, organ and synth, drums and percussion and sings: lead and backup vocals.
Bass guitar: Steve "the capmaster" Capps. Steve lays down the bottom end using the "famous" Fender P-Bass. The best bass guitar from an earlier time.
Note from Craig:I loved writing these songs and loved even more laying them down on cd. I'' ve always wanted to get the music to the people with a full band sound. Thanks to hard disc recorders and multi-tracking it is possible. There is nothing like starting with a basic track and hearing it progress one track at a time until you hear the song that you heard when you wrote it years ago.
