COUNTRY: Country Rock, COUNTRY: Modern Country
Details:
"ONE VOICE, ONE GUITAR" is a series of CDs by multi-platinum award winning singer/songwriter Jim Femino. For years he''s toured the country playing everything from tiny biker bars to arena stages..., always "just him and his guitar". He''s an true entertainer and storyteller. It always bothered him that when he''d go out and hear people perform, then take home their CD..., invariably it never sounded like the act he had just seen. So he decided that he would always record his CDs so that when people got in their car after a show and stuck one in the old CD player, they''d actually hear exactly what they had just left at the show! And he continues with a new one every year or two. This is the original..., Volume 1. It shows him as the truly great songwriter that he is. And his co-writers are a testament to the people who take time to write with him. Vince Gill, Steve Azar, Bernie Nelson, Kenny Beard.... all truly great songwriters, can be found on this, the first collection of the "ONE VOICE, ONE GUITAR" series. I wish I could pick a song or two out to point out as fan favorites, but the whole damn album reeks of fan favorites. Some have even become "Femino Classics", like ASPHALT IN ARKANSAS or FRED. Either way, if you''re looking for a great album of great songs by a great singer/songwriter.., then the "ONE VOICE, ONE GUITAR" series is an ABSOLUTE MUST for your collection.
For those of you who''d like to know a bit more about Jim Femino, we''ve included his bio from the https://www.tradebit.com webswite. It starts now..... Enjoy!
BIOGRAPHY:
Born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts, JIM FEMINO knew from a very young age (6) that music was going to be his calling. He had his first release as a recording artist on Road Records while still a freshman in high school. All through the seventies, eighties and into the nineties, he performed throughout the US and abroad. Three albums during those times yielded a #1 on the college charts ("Party Tonight" from the Boston anthology album) and a slew of high-charting singles including "Takin'' Away Our Home" from the JUST THE GOOD STUFF album and "Deanna" from ALL NIGHT PARTY. After a ten year break from touring to be a music industry executive, Jim re-emerged as a performing singer/songwriter and he continues with his passion to this day.
Over the years, Jim has played with, toured with and/or shared the stage with a number of acts including Toby Keith, ZZ Top, Montgomery Gentry, Pure Prairie League, Stephen Stills, Carole King, Steve Azar, Greg Allman, Steve Forbert, Donovan, Vince Gill, Bobby Hebb, Brad Delp & Fran Sheehan of "Boston", Michelle Phillips (of The Mamas & Papas), Keith Carradine, Allison Krauss, Beausoleil, Tiny Tim, Richie Havens, Michael Martin Murphy, Jonathan Edwards, The Story, John Gorka and on and on etc.
Along with his own career as a recording artist, Jim is a successful songwriter/music publisher (and record producer when a project presents itself.) His recent cuts of note include the song "Hello" from Toby Keith''s BLUE MOON album (Double Platinum), "I Don''t Understand My Girlfriend" from Toby''s DREAM WALKIN'' album (Gold), "Die With Your Boots On" on Toby''s Dreamworks album HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW, which was the Academy Of Country Music''s 2001 Album Of The Year (Triple Platinum), and the song "Forever Hasn''t Got Here Yet" on his Dreamworks album PULL MY CHAIN (Triple Platinum). Jim''s also got several songs "in the can" on major label projects currently awaiting release. He has also written commercials for General Motors, Toyota and several network and cable TV shows.
Speaking of TV, in 2003, Jim produced his own show called "Behind The Songs Of... Jim Femino" that successfully aired for a year in the Philadelphia area on PCTV. Although off the air now, fans still buy and swap episodes of the popular series. Jim also does the occasional songwriter seminar for up and coming writers who want to learn about the business of songwriting from someone "on the inside".
When free, which isn''t very often, you can find Jim at his home in Royersford, PA. or his place/office in Nashville, TN.
There you have it...., so far.
