Ian Henderson is a 14 year old sophomore who began writing and arranging music in late 2002. Most of the ideas for this album came to him while sitting in school, and he would come home and expand on them. For the majority of the songs, the piano track came first, followed by guitars and other instruments. The lyrics are deep and personal, and reflect the struggles of a young Christian in a large public high school setting.
Ian began playing piano about 5 years ago and was trained in the classics. He expanded his interests to contemporary Christian music after joining his church''s Praise and Worship Team as a keyboard and guitar player. Writing music for "The Search" was a natural outgrowth of playing with a dynamic worship team.
Also appearing on Ian''s album are his father who plays drums, his uncle who plays acoustic guitar, his aunt who adds saxophones, and two of his close friends who provide all the vocals.
