Santanero has found its foundation in the magical sounds of reggae, but gets its inspiration from many different types of music. Most of the bandmembers have been raised and lived a big part of their lives in the caribbean where they got introduced to a melting pot of music and are using this in their own creative way.
On stage Santanero brings a high dose of energy, which resembles the sun rising in the dark mornings. It does not matter if it''s night or day, good vibes will be felt from the first chord struck to the last word spoken.
2008 has been a breakthrough year for Santanero as they have played a number of respected venues in The Netherlands where they reside. Never dissapointing and always bringing a smile to your face.
In the beginning of 2009 their first (this) ‘mini-album’ containing 8 tracks was released showing you that different genres can be combined together. Each song has a unique blend of styles from old school ska to punk-ska to roots-reggae, while maintaining the trusted Santanero sound.
