MP3 Louis Twinn - The Gift
Singer/Songwriter reminesent of John Denver/Neil Young.
7 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Country Folk, FOLK: Modern Folk
Welcome, and thanks for visiting my little CD page.
You won''t find any crying in your beer or dance songs here. Just good melodies with stories that are written from the heart. I love the process of telling a good story in song. Some people have said that I sound like John Denver and Neil Young with maybe a little Dylan thrown in for good measure. This is my first release, all songs were recorded at home in my little studio.
This songs are such a large part of my life now, having lived, loved and laughed along with the characters in them. I hope you''ll let them be a part of your life too.
A little about the songs:
The Gift, is a true story about how I received my first guitar. It had a sad vein to it mixed with a heartfelt remembrance of a special lady.
Home Again, was inspired by my recent trip back home to Houston, Missouri and all the wonderful memories associated with going back home.
GrandPa''s Porch, is a very special song about my wife''s GrandPa, Foster Bailey. We used to sit out on his porch and just enjoy the evenings.
The Alabama Rose, is about a virtuous woman and crowns her goodness with the title, The Alabama Rose. My wife, Mary, is the role model for this song.
The SongMan, was inspired by a true anonymous FolksMan I met out here in cyberspace. He wishes to remain anon.
For Richer Or Poorer, is a love song I wrote for my wife. I used the traditional wedding vows in the chorus of this song. I think it would make a great wedding song.
The Old Man, is a song about a homeless man. Someone commented that its "a beautiful tragedy". I must agree.
