Details:
Vigorous, multi-talented, distinctive and genuine those are the words that come to mind when experiencing the talents of emerging rhythm and blues singer Ronald Ferguson. This self taught musician singer/songwriter/producer is emerging to the scene with his highly anticipated debut album “My Own Perspective” which hits stores in February of 2009 under D-Mack Entertainment Group. With songs like “Why Would I Risk” and “I need your love” it’s sure to make you fall in love. But topping them all is “To the Troops”. This song is directly touching the hearts of all across the world, appreciating all the troops who have fought and who are fighting for peace in the Middle East. Ronald was inspired to write the song when his brother and sister Staff SGT. Roshawn Walker and Staff SGT. Latanya Lewis were deployed to Iraq leaving all of their loved ones behind. He knew that he had to write a song for the troops letting them know that they are missed and that we are all praying for their safe return. Ronald Ferguson was born Dec. 24, 1971, son of Annie and Ronald Ferguson Sr. He is married to Sheree’ Ferguson and together they have three wonderful kids: Keith, Trenton, and Amiyah. Ronald’s music career began at the age of six where he began playing the guitar, drums, and bass in church. Music was a way of expressing himself and soon led him to join the St. Stephen combined choir where he learned voices and strengthened his musical vocabulary. Music got even deeper for Ronald when he was introduced to the piano, and the rest is history. He has been traveling and performing all over the country with different artist, bands and choirs ever since
