COUNTRY: Traditional Country, EASY LISTENING: Lounge

Details:
Pat has always loved all kinds of music, from country to big band to R&B to gospel. His recordings reflect those influences. While being predominently a singer/songwriter, he also plays a pedal steel guitar, and does all of the lead guitar and keyboard work on his albums. "Let The Games Begin" is Pat''s fourth album, and his first in over a year. He has worked the entire eastern seaboard with so many wonderful bands and fantastic artists over the years that all of them couldn''t possibly be mentioned in this space.
Pat is a lifelong song writer, and writes with two of his brothers, Steve and Keith. All of the songs on "Let The Games Begin" were written by this songwriting trio. Of course, there have been lots of special moments, like watching our bass player fall through the stage. You''re right, you''ll have to ask. And there have been so many musical influences in Pat''s career, including Merle Haggard, Frank Sinatra, Dick Curlees, Bill Anderson, Johnny Cash, Mel Torme, Peggy Lee, Dave Dudley and Benny Goodman. One of the biggest influences though, was his late father. Jim Jenkins, Sr. was an incredible guitar player, and taught so much to his son.

Pat is playing all of the time, with bands in Virginia, Tennessee, North and South Carolina and Kentucky. If you catch him live, he is currently playing an LDG model, 3&4, through a tubefex processor, and a Nashville 400 amp. He also uses a 77 tele deluxe.

"Let The games Begin", is a much more upbeat album, compared to the dark, "I Hate To See Me Go". There are several rollicking numbers on here, like "Cloud No 8", "One Table Away" and "He''ll Never Fall In Love With You". Of course, there are a few good ballads, and maybe even a sad song or two included in this fine set. This cd would make a fine addition to you collection.
