Ant Sincere ( Anthony Pitre ) was born and raised in Portland , Or. In the early 70''s when the sounds of P''Funk , Soul and Jazz prevailed. The 2nd son of four played just about every sport, and even the violin for a hot minute. He soon traded in that fiddle for a drum machine. "I had an Alesis HR-16B and I was that dude!!" He eventually came across Technics 1200s and a Gemini scratchmaster ( w 8sec. Sampler) and with that, DJ Alpha was born. During highschool Ant helped form the rap group ''Out of the Blue into the Black'' which consisted of J.J. on the mic, Ant on the beat, J Boogie (legendary San Francisco DJ ) on the bass guitar, L. Styles, Ziggy, and B Mack on the steps. "I think we won a Tom McCall award at one point." Upon graduation he relocated to Louisiana to attend Grambling State University where he would hone his rap skills and earn his moniker ''Ant Sincere''. "I met a lot of people there that encouraged and inspired my passion for music."
After returning home around 1994 Ant, Tedow, H20, Mr. Marcus, and Alowicious decided to form a group called Three Fifths. Three Fifths later linked up with indy label A.B.C. Records and began recording. They performed several shows throughout the region and, received rave reviews. Numerous performances with Portland Funk band ''5 Fingers of Funk'' left crowds screaming for more! "We just like to engage the fans with what we''re doing and get personal, and they appear to love it!" Three Fifths parted ways with A.B.C. Records after a short while, but aquired a new member in younger brother L. Styles. He would later prove to be that perfect compliment to Ant Sincere''s rhyme style and why not? They are brothers after all!!
Three Fifths faced one more problem- "We got lyrics, but no music!" So Ant Sincere decided the best way was to do-it-yourself. After a long while, Ant''s inspirations would shine through musically as he crafted some of the most intriguing original soundscapes known to man. "It''s like mom''s cooking, I just use what we have and it comes out bangin''" . Three Fifths and South Clic hooked up with TWP in 2004 and are poised to take the city by rainstorm
Three Fifths can be heard on the numerous DJ Chill Mixtapes , as well as the 21 WAYZ Compilation... Stay tuned and
God Bless!!!
