I Love Everything
My life''s formula is Peace + Gratitude = Joy
This song is dedicated to Mona, my Fluorite Family, and everyone I love including you! In the spirit of traditional music, I encourage you to write your own additional verses.
Meet Me at the Library
I am eternally grateful for the amazing resource of the
Public Library. The great thing about knowledge is when
you share an idea, you can give it all away and still have
all you had. Cool! In our current age of technology, there
is no freedom without equal access to information.
Good For You
Truth is Truth. Regardless of what we may think.
Make Me Laugh
This song was written as part of a class at the Science Museum of Minnesota in St. Paul and included the production of a fun music video.
Your Smiling Face
A lively percussion version of a classic James Taylor tune. At live shows we have a game that every time you hear the word smile you put your hand in the air, put on a big smile and make a jiggly face sound. Go ahead and try it!
Thank you to all the brave prophets who have stood up for peace. We may not be saying anything new; only we will keep saying it until it''s true.
We Can Be Different
Our acceptance of diversity makes me proud to be an American. By our example, we can show the world we can be different and live together
Feelings are a great compass, since we can only
in two directions: toward Love or into fear.
Besides, life would be boring without dynamics.
Billy McLaughlin played the beautiful guitar arrangement for this lovely song written by Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac.
Ol'' Hanna is another name for the Sun I learned from worksong recordings I found at the library. Additional thanks to Marc Anderson for going above and beyond the call of duty (can you hear the belly rhythms?)
Thank you to my friend Gloria Plautz for co-writing this song which has become a traditional closing song for many of my performances and is frequently requested by kids and parents as "the sleeping song".
When I''m in Love
Love is so much more than romantic relationships.
It''s a place of joy, abundance and ultimate security within each heart.
After I''m Gone
This song is a tribute to our lives influences. I wrote it
while grieving the loss of Brent Mydland, a singer and
keyboard player, who inspired me with his enthusiasm.
My Mom never thought she would like music by a band named the Grateful Dead until I recorded this song. This is one of my favorite tracks on I Love Everything, Arthur Lee''s guitar solo gets sweeter every time I hear it!
May All Beings be Well
(a bonus track after Brokedown Palace and seven minutes of Pine Creek)
A Traditional Buddhist Blessing
May all beings be well
May all beings be happy
Peace Peace Peace
