Since their beginning in 2005, this has been the theme of the members that make up the Christian indie rock band "The Waiting Kind." "We believe strongly that there is a power to waiting on the Lord in worship...the strength that comes in this setting is unlike any other grace we have come to know..." said the lead singer Derek Henbest. With influences such as Hillsong United, David Crowder band, and their friends Leeland; a very British rock with an ambient texture became what they now call "The Waiting Kind.” Their hearts have been to lead a generation in an anthem of praise; from hearts that sing grateful melodies of praise. They began to develop their sound in the back halls and prayer rooms of their church; Capital Christian Center in Meridian, Idaho. Most of the lyrics and melodies have been inspired by time spent in personal and community worship. This love and mercy they spoke of developed into hymnal sounds of worship that inspired their local congregation and became choruses of strength.
