Hurt Model is an instrumental progressive rock band from Los Angeles, California. Formed in Washington D.C. in 2000 by guitarist Trevor V. and drummer Bennett Erickson, the band relocated in 2005 to Southern California where they met bassist James Barry. In 2008 they released their first EP as a trio, “This is You.”
Hurt Model''s sound blends metal, psychedelic, jazz, and prog and comes out with a quirky mathy kind of rock. They''ve been compared to Dysrhythmia, Faraquet, King Crimson, Captain Beefheart (or more specifically, his magic band), The Fucking Champs, and Black Flag.
