MP3 Chris Valenti - On the Hood
Refreshing return to the radio friendly pop/rock song.
12 MP3 Songs
POP: Beatles-pop, ROCK: Acoustic
One sunny afternoon in the mid 70’s a third grade kid came home from school for lunch and found a four dollar sunburst acoustic Silvertone guitar on his bed. Not much of a lunch, but a nice surprise nonetheless. Subsequently many a day were spent in front of his Panasonic turntable trying to learn Beatles songs. Eventually, the roots of this strange rock and roll Beatles music were traced back to the fifties: Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Little Richard and so many others. Thus began his multifarious (see https://www.tradebit.com) musical career. Over the course of many years of playing in many different types of bands and venues, something special happened, besides getting laid, I mean. The apex, of course, is this album. That third grader, of course, was me-Chris Valenti. These 12 original songs are evidence of an early love that never faded. This is the first release in what promises to be a prolific collection of originals. The songs were recorded with help and guidance from many wonderful and talented friends whose names escape me at the moment. This CD has been describe as “round and flat” by some. In fact, the Surgeon General advises “this CD is smokin’!” So, if you like peanut butter on both sides of your sandwich, or peanut butter with jelly, or garlic Spam, pizza, chicken tenders, old fashioned loaf, grilled cheese sandwiches, roast beef and potatoes, French fries, French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, lasagna, steak, doughnuts, sugar cookies (w/or w/out sprinkles) then you’re sure to love this album. Well, gotta go now, it’s lunchtime!
This just in from Fort Worth, Tx. Testimonial from a friend WHO I DIDN''T EVEN HAVE TO PAY!!!
"Chris Valenti is a very melodic, eclectic guy. You''ll
hear right away that he has solid pop chops. His
sound is uniquely, gloriously normal and comfortable -
and yet I can''t think of anyone specifically who
sounds like his songs or his voice.
These are flat-out solid songs that ARE about the
stuff they SEEM to be about. They cover a wide range
of styles and subject matter, humor and emotion, and
best of all they are pure in their lack of qualms.
Just the opposite of all that
damaged-goods-so-worship-me, Jessie''s-Girl type of
restraining order crap."
Well, there you have it.
