Lorraine Boisseau has showcased her talents through singing, and acting, from an early age. She began singing and directing the choir as a youth at Pentecostal Bridegroom Church in South Philadelphia located on 8th & Lombard Street. She was always leading songs and acting in the church plays following in her mother’s footsteps, Patricia Henry.
Her ability to act and sing followed her throughout her school years from elementary school through high school as she was always called upon to lead songs on the various choirs she was apart of as well as the outside choirs like Singing City, All City Choirs, and many others and was given major roles in the various plays that she performed in.
Over the years, she has performed for the Mayor and other City Officials events. For several years she has performed at the Gallery in Philadelphia, PA., at the Capitol in Washington DC. and at The Academy of Music as well as performed on television shows.
Lorraine Boisseau attended the High School for the Creative and Performing Arts where her major was vocal music. While she was there she song, Opera, Classical, and Jazz but something was missing due to her background in Gospel Music. One day she got a group of singers together and taught them a gospel song and during one of their music classes, she asked her music teacher if she could present something to him and the class. They sung their 1st gospel song and from that point on, she formed the first Gospel Choir in the history of the Performing Arts High School in Philadelphia, PA. The Gospel Choir received more engagements than their concert choir. What a major accomplishment.

In August 2005, Lorraine Boisseau had her 1st opportunity to be featured at the G.M.W.A. on the New Artist Showcase on Thursday Night. The Lord used her mightily on that night and many people complimented her on her presentation including Kirk Carr who had a conversation with her to commend her and encouraged her to stay faithful because of the anointing that he felt through her as she ministered in song. During that week, she was surprisingly called upon to open up in Praise & Worship for one of the main divisions of the workshop. God used her in a mighty way as He made room for the gift that lies within her. Lorraine Boisseau states that there is no better place to be than in the presence of the Lord. Her greatest joy to give God praise and to worship Him.
In January of 2006, a promoter had been given Lorraine Boisseau’s Praise & Worship Single which has three songs on it. After hearing her minister, He invited her to open the church tour at the Lia Couras Center in Philadelphia, PA. This had been one of her desires to open up a major show in her home town. God gave her the very desires of her heart and on the night of the show hosted by Ty Tribett, she shared the platform with, Hezekiah Walker, Mary Mary, Fred Hammond, Shirley Caesar and many others. She was no stranger to the Philadelphia audience as they gave her much support and respect as she ministered under the power of the Holy Spirit. What a mighty God we serve.
Lorraine Boisseau is currently preparing for her upcoming CD release tour coming to a city near you in 2006. She is also being positioned to go into full time ministry.
