The new single "It''s 420 Somewhere" is slowly becoming Kaleo''s first track to break through on radio. Although K tends to write and produce songs for "people not pop", some new material seems to be more fun than his previous roots-rock-folk style. "I feel like I''ve written some strong music that I knew people would like, now I''m writing stuff that I like." That "stuff" includes solid dance beats with a unique singing style that showcases Kaleo''s vocal
diversity to the point that it occasionally slips into rap. "It sounds like Coolio, meets Kool and the Gang," says producer Rick Bailey.
