Music began for Paul at an early age with the accordion at the age of 5, the trumpet at 12 and keyboards and vocals in his teens. Guitar has been a recent addition.
His family recorded with Word Records and was on radio and TV around the world as well as playing music for Billy Graham.
As Paul entered college, he embarked on what would be almost 15 years of running from the Lord. Rock bands in Detroit and Minneapolis and country bands in the South finally brought him to the brink of what the world would call “success” with offers from Warner Bros. as well as MCA Records.
With this life also came parties and the daily life of drugs and alcohol, but the Lord had other plans. Paul ran into God’s “velvet hammer” that brought him to his knees and he met the Savior! “Old things were passed away” and his life was dramatically changed.
In His Presence is an album of all original music with the exception of "That Is All I Need To Know" that is written by Cheryl Lynn Jack-Moore and Paul Talley (used with permission) with all parts recorded by Paul Talley including vocals and trumpet. This album is recorded with the desire to bring the listener into the Presence of God. It is music to encourage study of the Word, prayer, worship and rest.
