The Real Fire Mama

Since the release of "ISAT INNAT" her debut album in 2005, Empress Ayeola has been described as a Musical Warrioress, born in England in 1963 her family returned to Jamaica when she was two years old where she grew up attending primary & Secondary school in the parish of Manchester.

It was while attending high school (Cross Keys Secondary) that her singing potential came to the attention of her then music teacher the late Sonia Spence, better known for her seventies hit (Leaving on a Jet Plane). Spotting her vocal abilities, she introduced her to the music business as a teenager Starting as a backing vocalist doing sessions with Sonia and other artist at various studios and at live shows in Jamaica, before eventually stepping out in her own right.

Generally acknowledged as lyrically gifted she has the ability to write songs that simple tell it as it is, without compromise, tackling serious issues relevant to today’s world and as a Rasta Empress sending out a message of truths & Rights with a special interest in the development of the next generation.

Her first recordings were in 2001 “Heads Of Babylon” with Jahmali & “I Hear the Cry” with Jah Mason as well as “Higher meditation” & “Jah will Take Care Of You” for Buju Bantons (Gargamel label). Her first release to hit the market was “Boundless love on the Africa River Nile label 2002, followed by the ever popular hit “Higher & Higher” River Bank Records 2003 “ Broken By The System” Stargate Productions 2004 “Don’t De Resentful“ Pharos Records 2005 which lead to a live BBC Radio One recording of the song, then “Edge of Life” River Bank Records 2006 “Blessed Is He” Sirius Records 2007 and “Hold On To Rasta Love” Super Tec label 2008. “Blessed Is He” Taken from her forthcoming album titled “Strong Up is the first single to be released” Produced by Kenny Edgehill & Nereus Joseph and now in the final mix stage. “Dem Bow” and “Reggae Music” is her new releases on the Peckings Label 2009.
