ROCK: Progressive Rock, JAZZ: Jazz Fusion
Details:
These artists, from all over the world, were brought together by their love of the music of Gentle Giant. The degree of Gentle Giant''s influence varies. All these authors are members of the On-Reflection (more info here: https://www.tradebit.com internet list. It was there that the idea for such an album was born, and this is the second project. This is the first of a 2 disc set (sold separately), and the second disc will be released around June-July 2006. We sent each member of Gentle Giant a copy so that they could see how their music altered our musical minds! The profits from the sale of these albums benefit the band and list, allowing the musicians who performed this music to remain poor. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we did writing and playing!
Andy Kubicki
PS It has been a privilege to work with these great musicians. I''m very excited about bringing this project out beyond the boundaries of On Reflection to any prog lovers in the world who happen to find this while searching. These are high quality professionally duplicated CDRs and the project was mastered professionally at Studio McBuddha by Dan Bornemark.

Recorded at Arthouse Studio, Germany. Engineered by Torsten Polscheit. Strongly influenced by John McLaughlin, one of my heroes. I think this shows many GG-related techniques: tricky rhythm changes; melodies presented after each other, and in the end played all together - and I think it sounds good.
