11 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Americana, FOLK: Folk Pop
Debut CD with 11 original songs, some stories, some love songs.
Track one is "Walking Away From The Blues" which came from a live jam on July 4th with David Patterson and Greg Lowery off the cuff. I went home and wrote the lyrics and we polished it up some and put it on the CD. This song showcases Greg''s lap steel playing. Greg Lowery just picks
up anything with strings or keyboards or a flat surface and
makes it talk, a natural musician.
Track two is "Holy Toledo" a story about a vagabond that wakes up in Idaho and doesnt have a clue how he got there later remembering and wishing he could get away, my son Nick Richardson plays harmonica and lead accoustic guitar.
Track three, "They Waltz" is a story of a shy guy and a not so shy girl who are in love, but he is so shy the only way he can hold her is to dance with her ,so, "They Waltz".
Track four, "Gimme Back My Heart" is a story about a guy who''s heartbroke over a girl that just doesn''t care. Greg is featured on the Dobro.
Track five, ''Good Ole Country Music'' 1st song I ever wrote.
Another Dobro from Greg.
Track six, "An Angel Comes To Town" 2nd song I ever wrote, for my wife and it just keeps getting better after 36 years
Track seven, "Didn''t It Rain/Mothers of the 80''s" is about the wars we wage in Iraq/Afganistan, and the worry, fright and sorrow it brings to the Mother''s whose babies born in the 80''s are fighting and dying over there.
Track eight, "My Mom And Dad", my mothers favorite song that I had written before she left us. About my family and memories of life. Greg shines on Dobro again.
Track nine, "More Precious Than Diamonds" is a song I wrote
for my wife when she was gone on a trip overseas.
Track ten, "Round Midnight" is a love song about a one night stand that neither person could bet out of their head. David Patterson on the 5 string electric violin!
Track eleven, "Stew''s Song" I dedicated this CD to Stewart Butler, my best friend, brother and the reason this CD was made. Features Greg on the Mandolin. At the time of Stewarts death he was learning the Mandolin.
Hope you will give it a listen, and hope you enjoy!
