Martin King- I have been a student as well as teaching dance for nearly three decades. Some time ago I was introduced to West Coast Swing and I vowed to learn the dance.
After several unsuccessful attempts to learn the dance I found a class in Salt Lake City being taught by Pam Genovesi. It was an ongoing class and Pam taught all five basics each month. Every week Pam taught one of the basics such as the Push Break, also known as the Sugar Push the first week, the Left and Right Side Passes the next week and so on.
After nearly a year I finally started understanding the dance. The West Coast Swing has become my favorite dance. Therefore I dedicate this song to Pam Geneovesi for teaching me this dance.
I wrote this song about West Coast Swing coupled with some fine as well as fun points that separate this partner dance from others. If you are serious about social dance West Coast Swing is a must. Now go, learn the dance and have some fun!
