Emerging from the ashes of a great number of ''out of the ordinary'' incidents and events, Braver By the 2nd has come to learn the importance of dealing with life in a hopeful manner. The four favorite sons of Vinemont, of the great state of Alabama, came together to form Braver By the 2nd in the summer of 2006. Since then, they have recorded one heck of a six-song CD (with plenty of new stuff on the way), mass produced it through Oasis Manufacturing Company, and played several kick-your-teeth-out concerts. Lead singer and guitarist Josh Campbell describes the formation and existence of the band like any redneck you''ve seen on the news (talking about the latest tornado that blew through his town) would, "Man, we were just over yonder…just messing around with that guitar amp there, and out of no where…BAM! We had a band, a CD, and writing bio''s for important people on the interwebs!" Besides Campbell (Guitar/Vocals), there is Jon Tidwell (Bass / Vocals), Jon Stidham (Drums/No Vocals), and Blake "Shooter" Kinney (Guitar/Vocals). Together they form Braver By the 2nd, a group of young musicians that have come to realize that letting the chips fall where they may, and relying on God for encouragement and strength through the mistakes they''ve made, is the best way for them to approach living. So, out of the willingness of their hearts, they have taken it upon themselves to deliver this message of hope to the common folk. Their lyrics put everything you have once felt in your heart into words. Their ''Smile-Rock'' anthems will set off hope-bombs in your body and their live performances portray their optimistic attitude towards life as well as the joy of hearing the Indie Rock sound being flanked by a wild pack of rednecks. They look forward to every show they play with anticipation and with the intent of blessing God back for what He has done for them by blaring their music/noise and telling kids about the good news of Christ and the mercy He offers.
