It''s difficult to categorize BrotherLush. And it''s not because we haven''t tried. Let''s just call it a signature sound marked by angular guitars, mercurial melodies, badass bass and a fancy kit to keep the time.
The Lush began in 2001 in the tiny Mesa apartment of guitarist Bryan Rensema and bassist Angelia Anderson. The roommates and partners in rock had been toying with idea of a band for about a year, in the meantime crafting songs that would become the foundation of the BrotherLush catalogue. They later recruited Lindsey Collom to help flesh out their sound. The tenacious three feverishly worked to come up with a respectable amount of tunes and soon began to search for a drummer. It was a tough choice with many contenders, but a rousing game of eenie-meenie-minee resulted in only one standout: Rich Crescenti, drummer of longtime Valley favorite Jones Fracture.
