First of all THANK YOU for buying this CD. I would also like to thank all of you who bought my first CD. The proceeds from my first CD, FLOWERS DISAPPEAR, paid for my new recording studio which was a very nice upgrade. I’m still doing all the recording and mixing at home along with the help of some fine musicians. The method is the same as my last CD; I record all my tracks: Guitar, Vocals, Drums, Keyboards, etc. Then I have the Bass and Lead guitar lay down their tracks. The Lead Guitarist, Bob Desmond, and the two bass players, Marc Rines and Seth Connelly, record their tracks without ever meeting each other. The end result is songs that sound like a whole band. It helps having great studio musicians. Thanks guys, you’re all awesome!

A little bit about the Songs:

Prelude: This is my attempt at keyboards. I was going for the Herb Albert / old Clint Eastwood spaghetti western sound.

What Do You Want From Life?: A lot of my friends are following their dreams in this song and I hope you are too? Susan doesn’t understand why all songs have instrumental breaks, so this song doesn’t. Bob just wails his lead guitar all the way thru.

West Carry: I’m officially a Maine Resident (Not a Mainer, don’t confuse the two) and absolutely love our new home, as you can tell by the song.

Wrapped Too Tight: I was going for an Island sound and how can ya do that without Tequila?

Me and You: I wrote this while taking a song and poetry class at Lowell University. I could tell the teacher was heartbroken over someone by all the songs he played for us. I wrote this and got an A. Kind of cool jazz.

I Hate Lawyers: This is the kind of song you write when you’re really pissed off! I guess that’s why they call it the blues. Can I tell you how I really feel?

I’m Feeling Fine: On this song I was going for an early Beatles type sound with lots of harmonies.

JVZ Song: I’m not a big country fan, but I told my good friend I would write one country song just for him. Time to herd the cattle counter clock wise…

Beautiful Day: I wrote this on one of those beautiful spring days before the bugs were out. This song has NA NA’s in it – Susan didn’t want LA LA’s.

Rebound: Have you ever met someone and said ‘How’s it going?’ and they start to tell you their life story and how they’re so stressed and depressed and BLAH BLAH BLAH. Well this song is for them.

Thanks to the following people who make all of this possible:

A special thanks to Susan, she’s the best wife in the world, I don’t care who you are!!! Marc Rines is a great musician and friend. Marc has been selling me musical equipment for almost 30 years. Every piece of musical equipment I own has been purchased from Marc who now owns City Music in Leominster and Gardner, MA. Please support his business – tell him Brian sent ya!! Thanks Marc for taking the time to perform on my CD. Bob Desmond is one of the best Guitar players I have ever met. Bob is a perfectionist when it comes to his performance. Thanks for a great job Bob and to Mikey his son, thanks for putting up with your father and I during recording sessions. I first saw Seth Connelly in High School opening for Jonathan Edwards. Seth is all about the music and it shows. Seth is a great live performer as well as a great studio musician. Thanks for your contribution Seth. Thanks to Father Kelly for my good friend WILSON. He loves to Rock and ROLL, he’s really a BALL, He always ROLLS with the punches and BOUNCES right back. And who is as cool as can be? Obie, the (HFL).

And once again, no thanks to all the losers that screwed me over the years!!
