URBAN/R&B: R&B Pop Crossover, ELECTRONIC: Virtual Orchestra

Details:
This is ELECTRIC LILYPAD- 2 years in the making, with the love, support, and hard work of 17 musicians and artists who contributed to the record. If you like Alanis, Beck, Prince, Patti Smith, Outkast, and even Henry Purcell (…to name a few…) this would be a GREAT new disc 4 U.

Bekka leads the tribal avant funk band, Bekka''s Frogland Orchestra (https://www.tradebit.com). This is TRIBAL AVANT FUNK in the form of storytelling and tribal devotions to The Mother Earth.
Bekka also sings and co-creates with SupaFRENDZ- led by Atiim Chenzira (https://www.tradebit.com). That band is the marriage of Funkadelic, Marvin Gaye, Outkast, and Mary J. Blige. Her third musical project is Bay Area band, Thunderpussy (https://www.tradebit.com).

After years of working with other peoples'' bands and theater companies, Bekka realized that she needed to write and sing her mind and heart about the spiritual and environmental state of Mother Earth and her creatures. She participates and leads rituals, ceremony, and prayer with people of all religions, and that is one of her life passions. Her music is fueled by her love for frogs(and other slimy and fabulous creatures), the sacred wildness and importance of feminine energy, and helping children to receive and share love.

Bekka feels equally at home in Synagogue, a Native American Tipi ceremony, and singing in a gospel choir. She loves to swim in the ocean, explore hot springs in her birthday suit, and hike mountains. Her divine purpose is to help people move through their fear and live their true BLISS.

She has travelled the Moroccan frontier on camels into the Sahara Desert; taught art, dance, and improv to inner-city and homeless teens; Line Produced a feature film in Death Valley; performed a world-premiere opera in Bangkok, and done body and healing work with cancer patients. She feels that the feminine juice emerging in all of us is going to SAVE THE PLANET.

Most recent appearances as a performer, actress, composer, producer, collaborator, and band leader include: In New York City: Mo'' Pitkins, The Brecht Forum (in Make Art, Not War with Theaters Against War), The National Tour of Cinderella (Produced by Jeffrey Seller of Broadway''s AVENUE Q and RENT)), a Puppet performance of Lysistrata with The Messenger Theatre Company (as part of The Lysistrata Project) at the United Nations, The Village Gate, NY Theater Workshop, Manhattan Theater Club, Harry Partch''s OEDIPUS, at The Metropolitan Museum of Art ( Directed by Tom O''Horgan of Broadway''s HAIR and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR), (SF/Oakland) The Watershed Poetry Festival (with Lawrence Ferlinghetti, Robert Hass, Marc Bamuthi Josephs), The SF Carnaval Festival, The Boom Boom Room, Tongue & Groove, Grant & Green, Club NV, Oakland Metro, Starry Plough, The Last Day Saloon, Enrico''s, Jupiter, The Shattuck Down-Low, and ODC.
