With his first solo cd of new material in ten years, Battista has made music history by becoming the first artist in the 40-year existence of Billboard Magazine to have released 6 cd’s without breaking through the top 100.
Battista received the news while not attending this year''s MTV Video Music Awards.
Battista found out about the record breaking Billboard news in the aftermath of his Managers surgery to repair a lifelong battle of chronic Vertigo in Buenos Aires.
"Obviously, I cried like a baby when they told me that that happened," Battista said. "It was even more exciting because my manager had just recovered from his surgery, so it was kind of like this amazing moment that I got to share."
Battista gave credit to his fans for supporting his music and understanding the connection of it to his essential self. "I just love my fans," he said. "Extraneous relationships, they come and go, but your fans — they love the music forever, I think”.
