I started making this album about a year ago. I produced it, wrote all original music for it (except for track 9,"The Strangest Dream", written by Ed McCurdy), sang lead vocals on it, and played rythum guitar, saxophone and some organ on it as well. The songs on the CD were written at different intervals in my life and carry the listener through different moodswings, stages of content/discontent, and general ins and outs of love affairs and/or states of being throughout my 20''s. My adoration of Rock, Folk-Rock, Pop, and Country are all apparent throughout the music. You can''t quite pin-point one genre of music here -- there''s a little bit of almost every kind of American music in these songs. But that''s what really unifies all of the tracks -- they are all unique, but they are all still American. I mostly wanted to be honest with myself in all this music, to show a little piece of truth to the world, or small truths of my life that created some sort of one overall truth on the album. I hope that in your own way (because all great art can mean a hundred different things to a hundred different people) you take something from my music and are touched in your memory and senses in a way that you perhaps weren''t before. I hope my music captures you in some sort of emotionally stirring and haunting moment, not un-like the moments that inspired these songs.
