The Beardo Brothers are identical twins, born to different mothers several years apart. Almost Live*(*with an asterisk) is their current CD, so named because most of the tracks were recorded in one live take, with just a little post-take-tinkering here and there (ok: on one track, a little bit more tinkering, because there was time--and beer--left over that night).
All the songs on this CD are Beardo Brothers originals, featuring a mix of guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and percussion along with the distinctive Beardo Brothers harmonies (not as polished as Phil and Don, not as tarnished as Mick and Keith ). In live performance, the Beardo Brothers mix their originals with a smattering of covers, not included here because they wanted this to be a fresh and unique experience for you, the listener, and because they couldn''t figure out how to fill out the paperwork for cover tunes.
