Kelly was glad to have a copy of POPULAR LANE in her purse. She asked her friends to come over for one last time before graduation and planned to throw the party of her life. She had already set the CD to track number 10 to sing along with ''U Made It'' as soon as her friends would arrive, but she had to react quickly to a change of plans as her friends told her that a celebrity was in town at another party. She called a couple of other invitees who had not arrived yet and asked them to meet her over at this other party. Much to her surprise, a close friend of hers was the DJ for the night. Without hesitating a second, she opened up her purse and handed over POPULAR LANE. She asked him to play her favorite track and danced along to celebrate her academic success.

Matt yelled, ''Let go, man!'' as he held on tightly to his copy of POPULAR LANE before a guest at the party snatched it away from him. ''Relax, I just want to look at it!'' the guest replied. Matt had already brought his own copy of POPULAR LANE to the party, but when Kelly handed over her CD, he didn’t refuse to take it. As he knew about the celebrity’s visit, he had planned on playing track number 8, ''Celebrate''. Upon Kelly’s request he decided to play track number 8 at a later time. ''U Made It'' was the second track that he played out of this album within the first hour of the party.

Maria proudly presented her short film to the group and mentioned that the score to her film included track number 4, ''Secrets'' from ALPER’s debut album. She had found the perfect sound clip for her scene thanks to her boyfriend who spun POPULAR LANE into her CD player a couple of days before her film project ended and suggested to use it for one of her short film’s scenes. Upon approval from ALPER to use his track for her project, she had a private conversation with the artist himself to thank him for his permission.

Sean asked the postman, ''Where’s my Popular Lane?'' The morning after a party where the DJ played track number 6, ''Hollywood enough'' he went online to get himself a copy of POPULAR LANE. At the party the DJ didn’t want Sean to take POPULAR LANE from the table, but he wrote down the name of the artist and the album on the back of a receipt and put it back onto the DJ’s table. The next morning Sean went online to look for POPULAR LANE. He listened to samples of the tracks on CD Baby and couldn’t wait to have his girlfriend listen to it as well.
