"…Possibly the best written music in the state."
--SLC Newspaper City Weekly
At 26, Andy Shelton''s percussive, acoustic, jazz/folk style compliments his "...unique, strong voice," (https://www.tradebit.com) and "award-winning, story-like lyrics." This independent artist''s work has proven solid from a resume full of awards including, honorable mention in the 12th annual Billboard Songwriting Contest, Honor Award in the 7th Annual Great American Song Contest, 1st place awards on both https://www.tradebit.com and https://www.tradebit.com, and several different songs on different top 10 lists on https://www.tradebit.com. But he''s just getting warmed up.
As a solo artist over the last 3 years, Andy has made television concert appearances on Fox 13''s Good Day Utah, Channel 4''s Good Things Utah where he placed 2nd in the "Utah''s Next" competition and the Park City television program Mountain Views. Andy also performs live on many local radio programs. He has entertained thousands on stages around the state including the NuSkin World of Ice venue at the 2002 Winter Olympics, the Provo Freedom Festival, the famed Egyptian Theatre in Park City, the South Jordan Street Festival (where he opened for the internationally recognized Ryan Shupe), and many other venues. As a senior member of the Timpanogos Singer Songwriter Alliance, Andy’s music has been featured on the groups’ award winning yearly compilation CD’s for 3 consecutive years. Shelton’s highly anticipated full length independent album ''Up On Market Street'', released in January 2006, has already garnered rave reviews. With his new 7 piece jam-band ''Shelton'', he is setting his parents basement on fire! (everyone in the band is an arson)
"I could sit for hours and hours in leather pants and listen to Andy play!"

"What a set of pipes you have, smokey, velvety and reminiscent of Jazz greats like Al Jarreu and Bobby Short, not bad company to be keeping especially for the age of 26. Your songs are appealing with sophisticated melody lines that blend Jazz and Pop with an even hand. Great imagery in the lyrics! Your percussive jazz/folk guitar style is terrific and SO engaging. As always a pleasure to listen to your music."
