Originally from Vermont, a seventh generation musician, Bruce Isaacson began his professional music career at the age of 17, when he joined his brothers, Peter and John, (also song writers and solo artists) playing drums and singing harmonies through the clubs and “kicker-joints” of Texas. He soon picked up a guitar, began writing his own material and embarked on what has now become a thirty-five year adventure. From the islands of the Carribbean to the shores of Martha’s Vineyard, down into the Florida Keys and up to the cool breezes of Northern Michigan, Bruce Isaacson has remained true to his music for nearly four decades.
Armed with talent, a dogged work ethic and an adherence to sound business principles, Bruce has successfully transformed his early passion into a life-long profession. What you see Bruce do on-stage is simply “what Bruce does”. Singing and songwriting have been and remain his job. Little wonder his latest release is entitled “I Just Wanna Be Me”.
More recently,, Bruce teamed with the late “Red” Seidman, to form one of the most dynamic and popular acts in the Florida Keys. This musical partnership ended tragically in 2007 with Red’s untimely passing. Witness the magic and energy of these two musicians in the 2003 CD release, “Bruce Isaacson and Red Siedman; Live At The Hogs Breath Saloon”, or enjoy their 2005 studio CD release “So Far”.
Since 2007, Bruce has carried on both the music and the adventure. As the Production Manager for the well known Key West Songwriters Festival, Bruce works tirelessly each year, behind the scenes, to assure that each and every musician, together with the audience, enjoy the highest quality performances. The Key West Songwriter Festival was founded in ________ and takes place every April.
In September, 2009, Bruce founded, as a majority owner, the Martha’s Vineyard Songwriters Festival in Massachussetts. The first of many such Festivals kicked off with Grammy award winners, Kim Carnes, Paul Overstreet and Scotty Emerick. This momentum looks to carry over into September 2010 and beyond, providing top quality entertainment for years to come.
