Jeanne Rose is one of eight children, four brothers, three sisters. She grew up in Southern California, and spent most of her childhood at the beach, local pool, or camping on weekends. Music was a part of every family celebration and every weekend morning. Artists such as Perry Como, Mitch Miller, Patsy Cline, and many others filled the house, and every neighbor''s house as well (even if they didn''t actually want to listen, her dad turned up the stereo on weekend mornings to get the kids out of bed). When her parents were at work, her siblings had music playing on the family stereo. Then, albums such as The Animals, America, Beatles, Doors, Neil Young, Crosby Stills and Nash, and Joni Mitchell, among others were played at high volume as all of the kids loved music. The guitar came and went with the seasons and eventually it found home within her arms, where today she continues to appreciate all the joy it brings her way.
Though she never found her way to lessons, (just too expensive), she did find herself married at the age of 27 and later had one son, Shane (Living Without You). It wasn''t until her divorce in 1998 that she decided that the guitar would be her way to joy and peace. Little did she know then that music will fill her days, and change her world drastically. "What this world needs is a little more song", and so began her music career.
Jeanne''s music can make you cry, make you smile, and she no doubt will touch you in some way with her songs. Her stories of her past life (Living Without You, Believe and Scott''s Pony). Dreams of the future (Garden of Life), world peace (Lead the Way), abuse and neglect (Out of Control), solid love (Rock Solid), and standing in your own light (Alicia~ Beautiful Girl), all a piece of her life which will touch the listener.
Her garden of song is one that will touch deeply, while weaving a tapestry of lyrics that will engage the listener/audience with intriguing and thought provoking lyrics. May the listener be caught in the vivid painting her words create, as it is that moment of time that she wants her songs to touch you in some special way.
