J. W. Biddy grew up around Asheville/Hendersonville, North Carolina. He performed with various local bands, and also played in a country band while serving in the U. S. Air Force. He eventually moved to Phoenix and later, Tucson, Arizona, where he spent years honing his musical skills.
Writing Country and Gospel songs was his first love, and he sang his own demos to save money. J.W. garnered few Nashville cuts, but received many compliments on his singing voice from Country music professionals. This led to him becoming a performing and recording artist.
Biddy''s debut album was recorded in Tulsa, OK under the brilliant guidance of multi-talented Gospel producer Gary Sullivan. J.W. wrote all the songs on the CD except for the last cut, the hauntingly beautiful"WINE INTO WATER", which was masterfully penned by T. Graham Brown, Bruce Burch, and Ted Hewitt.
J. W. had three Gospel single releases to national/international radio, one of which, "Angel In Disguise", went to #20 in the charts. He was nominated by the Country Gospel Music Guild for songwriter of the year for three consecutive years running.
J.W and his wife Elaine moved to Nashville in 2001 to further pursue his musical dreams. He has performed at various venues around Tennessee and Kentucky, such as the Bell Witch Opry, Texas Troubador Theater, and the Longhollow https://www.tradebit.como Jamboree On The Mountain.
J.W.''s captivating baritone voice is reminiscent of the great Country crooners of the past, yet with a new and intriguing sound he calls "NewClassic Country"TM. His sincere vocal warmth, and unique way with a song is always a crowd-pleaser wherever he performs.
Biddy also released a new ten song Country album on Nashville based, Aaron Records, entitled J.W. Biddy Sings Jim Reeves Favorites produced by Nashville producer, Willie Rainsford. His debut single off that CD, "Distant Drums" reached #26 on the Inside Country Chart.
