Don Lyman is a singer-songwriter from the Boston area. He released his first cd, "You''ll Come Back Dreamer", in December, 2001. From acoustic music to folk-rock to edgy electric tunes, this collection of original songs showcases Lyman''s eclectic musical style.
Lyman has played with various bands as a rythm guitarist and vocalist. Most recently he performed with the band "Lyman, Hulse, and Bouchie", along with lead guitarist Dan Hulse and drummer Tom Bouchie. The band has performed at Boston area colleges and clubs including the Kendall Cafe, the Sky Bar, Merrimack College, Mass. College of Pharmacy, Tufts University, and The Squealing Pig.
In January, 2003, Lyman got his first airplay when Boston radio station WXRV, 92.5 FM, "The River", played "Sitting Alone On A Sunday Morning", an acoustic song from his cd. He has also received airplay on-line at New Artist Radio, an internet radio station, where the title cut from his cd made it to number 6 on their Weekly Top 40 Countdown. Another song from his cd, “By Now”, was featured on Independent Nation, an internet radio venue.
Lyman spent most of the past two years living and working in Santa Rosa, California. He returned to the Boston area in 2005, where he recently finished recording his new single, “Earthquake Weather“.
