Since the beginning of their live performances in January of 2006, Luma has been turning the heads of music fans everywhere they play. Not so easily placed in genres like alternative, emo, or hard rock, they convey the essence of what great rock music was always meant to be: unapologetically honest lyrics, hooks that grab you and don''t let go, a thick-as-thieves rhythm section, and a melody that you can''t get out of your head. They bring it all to the table with everything from pure and straightforward, to intricate and complex; from smokin riffs and anthematic choruses to heartrending ballads and unforgettable melodies. Quite simply, Luma is no typical rock band.
Hunter Goodman (vocals), brothers Stephen and Marcus Collins (guitar and bass), and Adam Chamberlain (drums) started playing together in the Winter of 2003. They soon decided to begin pursuing a mainstream music career as Luma. The foursome quickly became a second-to-none song-writing team, developing numerous originals as they continued playing covers for different events across the country in cities like Las Vegas, Omaha, Nashville, and Oklahoma City. Luma stepped into the studio in the fall of 2005 to record an initial five-song EP, which was later released on June 29th, 2006.
Even before their CD was released, Luma had built quite a loyal following. The number of Luma fans grows daily as more and more people are exposed to the power of their music, either live, or on the album. With the belief that there''s more to it than just the music, Luma creates an experience, and you wont easily forget it. After listening to their songs, its easy to see that Luma''s music transcends any musical fashion or trend. The music that these four write will stand the test of time.
