Tradebit releases download client as Open Source

Tradebit.com today released their download client as an Open Source package for Real Basic
Delaware, 24th of January 2011:

As an open marketplace for digital goods, the Delaware based Tradebit, Inc.
today released their download client as an Open Source package under the
business friendly Apache license on www.tradebit.info.

The company runs an open marketplace for downloads on https://www.tradebit.com/
where artists, publishers, photographers may publish and sell their work.
Since its start in early 2005, the site has attracted more than 25,000 merchants in
four different languages. With the new Open Source software release, members
of the site are enabled to download and create their own software package to
sell and distribute media to their customers.

The founder and CEO of Tradebit, the German entrepreneur Ralf Schwoebel, says
"A huge part of our success is build on the contribution of affiliates, who
promote the products on the site. By providing them with the tools to earn
more commissions, we help our merchants and ultimately ourselves to sustain
a healthy growth rate."

The software package comes as an open package for the Real Basic development
environment - an easy and fast deployment environment to create desktop application
for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
